Pies & Pub founded in 2011, started as Pies & Pints and in 2019 changed its name to Pies & Pub. It started as a neighborhood Pizzeria & Pub serving the Greater Waterbury Area. Now Pies & Pub restaurant is a well known destination for great craft beer, its award winning authentic Italian hand tossed pizza, delicious wings served in many flavors and styles, half pound black angus blended short rib and chuck burgers, shareable for friends and family, from sandwiches to main entrees and friendly atmosphere. All our food is available for dine-in or take out, including on line ordering
When it comes to good friends, good food, and good beer, think Pies and Pub in Middlebury CT. Pies and Pub attracts families and friends for a wide variety of reasons, not the least of which is the good food. With 80 percent repeat customers it is the best local place to dine.
Each year, satisfied diners nominate the restaurant for its pizza, wings, and burgers, and those testimonials become “Best of” awards that are the pride of owners Theofilos “Theo” Anastasiadis and Chris Gogas.
The restaurant is consistently in the top 10 of draft craft beer choices because of the selection, which includes the restaurant’s very own Pies and Pub Pale Ale, Bulldozer west coast IPA, Coconut Vanilla Porter and seasonal beers like #19 Oktoberfest.
Anyone looking for something special can check the weekly events like $2 draft beers, a $7 weekend special for one liter of beer, $2 tacos, or the popular build-your-own-burger.
Pies and Pub is more than just a place to eat. The friendly atmosphere is underscored by fun, including live music, ladies’ night, a magician performing close-up magic, and others.
The patio is the perfect venue for summer dining and Middlebury’s al fresco space has been recently enhanced by a remodel of the adjacent dining room, which is open to the outdoor eating space.
The owners are always looking for ways to improve their customers’ experience. One example is the app they developed so hungry diners can place a take out order online, selecting anything from the large menu.
As much as the community comes together at Pies and Pub, the owners reach out to support the towns where they live and work. They organize the annual TaTa Trot 5K to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research (raised over 70K) and feature new ways to enjoy an old beverage with events such as Brews by the Lake (proceeds benefit YMCA Summer Camps)
Embracing everyone, the local owners look forward to hosting teams from area schools, families still damp from a day at Lake Quassapaug, or a party celebrating a special occasion with a private event on premises.
A family restaurant that serves good food and great craft beers, Pies and Pub is open at 11 a.m., seven days a week, and the kitchen closes at 11 p.m. The bar is open late.
